Biblical Foundation

Christ gave these gifts to prepare God’s holy people for the work of serving, to make the body of Christ stronger. This work must continue until we are all joined together in what we believe and in what we know about the Son of God. Our goal is to become like a full-grown man—to look just like Christ”

Ephesians 4:12,13 ERV

Biblical Foundation

God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another. Do you have the gift of speaking? Then speak as though God himself were speaking through you. Do you have the gift of helping others? Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies. Then everything you do will bring glory to God through Jesus Christ.
1 Peter 4:10-11 NLT
Total Member Involvement is a General Conference initiative encouraging “every church member to be involved in God’s last-day message-from speaking the Word to living the Word.” It seeks to find practical, simple and consistent ways to engage each church member in mission that is relevant for them and those in their circle of influence.

The Man-Sask Conference is going further and adopting this as a long-term strategy. We recently created a permanent department for Total Member Involvement directed by Pastor Lynn Ripley. She is a commissioned minister of the Adventist church and has over 22 years experience in ministry at the local church, conference and division levels. She has taught classes and seminars internationally and her discipleship seminar will be soon be distributed by CD and workbook by the GC & NAD Ministerial Department.

So What Exactly IS Total Member Involvement?

What is the need?

How do we reach our community for Jesus in an increasingly busy and resistant culture?

Our pastors are very busy, especially in multi-district situations and can’t do it all. Church members want to help, but sometimes aren’t sure where to start.

Wouldn’t it be helpful to have a facilitator come in and help you brainstorm, hone and plan unique outreach opportunities for your church and your individual members?

Total Member Involvement is dedicated to helping you and your church discover unique, relevant ways to reach your neighbours, friends and broader community.

Total Member Involvement IS:

Dedicated to helping every member realize their witnessing potential.workplace-1245776_1920

A resource and catalyst for discipleship, healthy vibrant church growth and winsome outreach.

It is here to help you discover a way of life, a culture of discipleship, both personally and as a church body through individualized training, dialogue, and resources.

Total Member Involvement IS NOT

…another program, just a yearly conference, another, top-down “make-work project”.

Pastor Ripley states, “The local church is the most important action unit of the Adventist movement.” She is eager to provide support to YOUR local church in discipleship and community engagement for Jesus according to your specific needs. Pastor Ripley can provide Workshops on Total Member Involvement free of charge! Check out other Upcoming Events, Resources and Ideas below.
