Honouring Gwen’s Impact

As the Man-Sask Youth Director from 1998 until her untimely death in 2008 from cancer, Gwen Bader had an inestimable, permanent impact on the development and success of Camp Whitesand. She touched countless lives through her dedicated service at the camp, across the Conference and through multiple youth mission trips. Therefore, with her family’s permission, the Man-Sask Board of Directors has voted to name the new camp building in Gwen Bader’s honour.

Maranatha Volunteers International will be helping us build the new crafts/classroom building at Camp Whitesand from June 11-21! They welcome local labourers with construction and other related experience. Learn more at their website and join the interest list!

Maranatha Woods LeadersThere’s even a Man-Sask connection for the husband and wife team leaders of David Woods (Construction Superintendent) and Susan Woods (Project Coordinator). Susan was originally born in Saskatoon but left as a baby so they’ve always wanted to visit the Prairies and are excited to lead this project for us!

We’re also very pleased to announce that Committee 101, which funded the new washroom block, has agreed to partner with the Conference in the fundraising this project! We’re so grateful for their generous spirit!
