Description:

Due to the present teacher’s upcoming retirement, Rosthern Christian School (RCS)  is looking for an energetic full time teacher/principal for the 2021-2022 school year. The school presently has 14 students in grades 1-9 along with a full time Educational Assistant and is projected to have 12-16 students for the next year. The eligible candidate needs energy, dedication and understanding in teaching a variety of subjects, having proficiency with technology, experience working with students from a wide range of ethnic diversities, and inspire them to choose Christ as their Savior and Lord. As the Principal, the candidate needs to have vision, organization, creativity, willingness to support and assist in the growth of this school. The candidate has a proven track record of working with school board, conference director, and has strong people skills that enables them to interact and communicate effectively with parents and students at all levels.

 

RCS is provincially funded and has supportive working conditions.

 

RCS is located in Rosthern, Saskatchewan, a community with a small-town environment with all the necessary amenities of city living. Rosthern offers great recreational and cultural opportunities within the community and is centrally located between the cities of Saskatoon & Prince Albert. The Rosthern SDA church has 50+ members that support the school and is active in the community.

 

Qualifications for Employment:

  • An active member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, modeling Christianity and upholding the faith and values of the Seventh-day Adventist Church
  • A current favourable criminal police check & vulnerable sector check
  • Has a Bachelor’s degree in Education
  • Has a minimum of three to five years of experience as a Teaching Principal
  • Has current SDA Denominational Certification and/or qualifies in obtaining one.
  • Is in possession of a Saskatchewan Professional A Teaching Certificate and/or qualifies in obtaining one.
  • Documented ability to work legally in a school in Canada - A Citizen, Permanent Resident or Current Work Permit valid for a minimum of 2 or more years
  • Models excellence in teaching through innovative ways of teaching (STEM, STEAM, Research-Based, etc.)
  • Exemplifies Adventist Education through example

Description: Curtis-Horne Christian School is a growing two-room school located in Regina, the capital and second largest  city of Saskatchewan and situated on the beautiful Wascana Creek. The domed Legislative Building is found in the Wascana Centre, a park like development around Wascana Lake.

We are eagerly looking for a grades 5-9 teacher to fill a one year Maternity Leave that begins on August 25, 2021 ending on August 24, 2022.   • Has a teaching philosophy that is in keeping with the philosophy of Seventh-day Adventist Education
  • Has a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Education
